With Cyprus’ sunny weather almost throughout the year, picnic sites have become very popular. Here are a few designated picnic sites in the Paphos region, with tables and benches, to enjoy the island’s scenic countryside and luscious weather conditions:
- Agia - This picnic site is located 1km from Kannaviou village on the right hand side of the road
- Timi - The site is located 1km from Paphos International Airport towards the village of Timi, on the right hand side of the road.
- Stavros tis Psokas - The picnic site is located 20km from the village of Lysos or Kannaviou towards the Forest Station at Stavros tis Psokas.
- Agios Merkourios - This picnic site is located 7km from the village of Lysos, towards Stavros tis Psokas and 4km through the forest road that leads to Agios Merkourios village.
- Manasiliaka - The site is situated 2km from Panayia village, towards the Kykkos Monastery.
- Papaloukas - This picnic site near the Chrysorogiatissa Monastery in Panayia village.
- Smigies - The site is located 2km west of Neon Chorion (near Polis) in the forest of Akamas.
- Gefyri tou Livadiou - This picnic site is 13km from Pomos village, towards Stavros tis Psokas.
**Please note that larger picnic sites do have special barbeque facilities, but otherwise, fires are strictly forbidden due to the danger of forest fires.
